I’ve heard the word “Squidoo” around the net for quite awhile, I just never knew what the heck it was-especially with a name like that! Sorry Seth.
Well, I finally took the plunge a few days ago to have a look at what a “Squidoo” is and how it could help me.
So, when I finally signed up for Squidoo Secrets, a site run by WAHM Forum famous alumni (aka Beef Jerky King) Bob the Teacher, I was pleasantly surprised as to what awaited me on the other side.
You see Squidoo is a community unlike any other. Trust me, I’ve seen more than my share of trashy websites and forums where “put-downs” are considered the “norm”. Squidoo isn’t like that.
It’s refreshing to finally find a place where you can be part of something that is positive, and community-related.
That’s the case with Squidoo. I’ve just been learning more about it myself and I love everything I’m seeing about it.
What’s even better is that it’s free. What’s even more better is that the search engines love Squidoo.
This brings us to designing your own web page on Squidoo. You can make an interactive, Web 2.0 webpage in about 10 minutes (these are called “lenses”). How’s that for designing your own web page on Squidoo!
And when you design your own web page on Squidoo, you can use it to promote whatever business, expertise, service, or hobby you wish.
Seth Godin, the brain-iac behind Squidoo, always says everyone is an expert at something. It’s up to you to find out what that something is so you can design your own web page on Squidoo.
Now although it’s free, and relatively easy to get started, it’s great to have help in making sense of everything you can do with the site.
I’m not going to pretend i’m an expert at Squidoo and try to give you advice on how to design your own web page on Squidoo.
Like most marketing techniques, you have to put in the time and learn it the right way, or else you’ll end up doing it wrong and you won’t get the results you were looking for.
Searching on the ‘net for hours trying to find someone credible to listen to about designing your own web page on Squidoo, is not what I call fun, productive or a good use of your time.
